My favourite teacher was Soma Gupta ma'am. She was my class teacher in class 5. The way she handled my incorrigible allergy of homework and daydreaming - turning them into beneficial habits - it changed my life. I have searched for her for years after she left school. I am still searching.

Because she taught me that I was not a bad student, I only needed the right hand to hold to shine.

Mr Narayan Joisa , our english teacher in high school. I liked him as he was not just a teacher but a coach, someone who genuinely cared about our development as a whole. He remembered our names and paid personal attention. He rarely got angry and even if he did, he would handle the situation very firmly but politely.

I want to acknowledge two amazing teachers who really made a difference in my life. Amrita was more like a friend than a teacher, guiding me through different phases of my learning journey. And then there was Linu Koshey, who sadly passed away a couple of months ago. During a tough time in college when my family was struggling financially, he generously paid for two terms of my fees, helping me continue my education.

Jibu sir,

My favorite teacher is Jibu sir. He was my tuition teacher for Engineering Mathematics. The reason I admire him the most as a teacher is because his methods instilled strong conviction in me to solve any math problem. He made sure if the first method to solve is not inline with my perspective, a second or third method is always ready to solve it. I never imagined math to be such an interesting subject till I get him as a teacher. He could teach me the entire 5 modules for a 6 months semester in just 10 days by just 2-3 hrs in a day that too with minimum 5 other students from totally unrelated backgrounds. First time I found a subject teacher who's 200% confident in his subject, teaching without referring any notes; which in turn produces extreme confidence in his student's minds. I feel deeply grateful for having him in my life.

My favorite teacher is my Tamil teacher Sri. Anushya. She used to teach very soft, realistic and humble enough on all students. Due to this nature, every student used to study well especially on Tamil subject. She explains things which is easy to understand by everybody and take special attention to the average student in order to score good marks. As a result, nobody failed on that subject and also become kind human being. My tamil teacher also got promoted and got some government posting and became good grade government officer. So, character and teachers makes the rust best.

Today If am speaking with so much confidence is because of her, she used to appreciate a lot and gave me ample space and freedom to make mistakes and learn from it. my reading Habit has got developed from an early age because of her. and Bio Sir, is one such teacher in my life who believed in me in my +2 (from KV) that I can clear the exams and will score good. as due to my health challenges, I had very less attendance and the decision committee asked me to drop and he was the only teacher who said let her appear and lets see what happens , My Father and His Believe in me instilled an unwavering faith and courage in me and I was the 2nd Topper in my School :). we just need One person to say "I believe in You" and if needed we can climb mountains and cross the oceans. after my School days , Sidz You are that One teacher who Believed in Me and I could do it and I will do everything I want To : ) Thank you for choosing me as your Student. Hey Sidz...I was thinking about which teacher had the maximum and lasting impact. There were many some I remember and some have blurred faces but lasting lessons that left an impression on the young mind. The unrelentless discipilirian yet the most loving and nurturing teacher was my Mother who always had my back whether it was studies or life. She encouraged me, coaxed me and ensured I was becoming a good human, doing the right thing. When I was flunking in Maths or any other subject she was studying herself and making it easy to teach me so that I could get good grades. Waking me at 4 am to do mock papers, feeding me 5 star quality food, yet making me chase my dreams. She was my biggest ally and the most wonderful human who made it all possible. I totally owe it to her.

Ms. Kalyani Narayanan was my favourite teacher from St. Xavier's High School, Vile Parle, Mumbai.

She taught us History and English in secondary school and was our class teacher. She gave 2 eclairs chocolates on the LAST day of school - which i preserved in a small glass bottles for YEARS - out of sheer nostalgia :-).

Later, after 26 years, i went to meet her at Kerala, her residence. It was a touching moment to sit at her lotus feet and listen to her wisdom delivered with all the love and care once again ! Another classmate Harish Shetty has sponsored my flight, hand-delivering me the tickets - all thanks to him that he made the meet possible.

In Bhavan's college, the B.Sc. years, M.G.Bhatia Sir was our electronics (& club) teacher and i learnt Ham Radio under him. During that phase i used to share my Maths notes with another close friend Shyam Kishore, who was a math genius - and it he who instilled the love for Maths in me by converting it all into visual language which was what i loved as an artist. He was my most significant teacher in those formative years ! I used to have overnight stays at his place at Yari Road, Versova. He became a Doctor and went straight into teaching ... which is also what inspired me to take up teaching after i became an architect.

At Sir J.J. College of Architecture, I met 3 of my most passionate teachers of architecture and i owe my life to them in terms of design thinking. Prof. Anand Pandit - my first discussion with him lasted 7 hours on empty stomach ! Prof. Masud Taj is such a prolific mind that he creates ideas on the fly, & i started attending every possible lecture of his, by even bunking my own other lectures. After years i invited him to AMC (my class) to deliver a guest lecture. Prof. Ulhas Rane was my Landscape Design teacher ... he loved my innovative ideas and gave me an offer to join his firm "anytime you want to".

My 1st major spiritual teacher has been S.N.Goenka-ji, under whom i learnt Vipassana Meditation and continued doing several courses and asking a zillion questions to senior assistant teachers - particularly Jayanti Kaka who became my spiritual mentor. He was very liberal and connected various threads of spirituality from multi-perspective POVs.

My mom and dad have of course been my greatest teachers ... much gratitude forever to them.

OMG, Sidz, i can go on and on ... !

I am deeply grateful to the memories and teachings of two remarkable educators who have profoundly shaped my life. Krishna Anjaneyulu Sir, my math teacher during my intermediate studies, not only imparted a deep understanding of mathematical concepts but also instilled in me the value of integrating real-life examples into learning. His lessons extended beyond the classroom, emphasizing that the hard work we put in today will yield rewards in the future. His influence has been a guiding light, inspiring me to approach challenges with dedication and perseverance. Equally significant in my journey was Dr. K. Bharathi Mam, my chemistry teacher during my B. Pharmacy program. Her unique ability to present complex chemistry topics in a cheerful and engaging manner transformed my learning experience. She made even the most daunting subjects approachable and enjoyable, demonstrating that enthusiasm and clarity can make a world of difference in education. Both Krishna Sir and Dr. Bharathi Mam have left an indelible mark on my life, serving as beacons of inspiration. Their teachings and spirit continue to inspire me daily, and I remain profoundly thankful for the lasting impact they have had on who I am today.
